Voters Guide Information

This questionnaire was sent to each candidate who filed for the positions of Chair or Town Supervisor for the Town of Barnes and Gordon boards.

Our process was to:
  • Send to each candidate the questionnaire,
  • Receive their response- note that some candidates responded question by question and others by a more general narrative.
  •  The original timeline was not meet by all. Therefore, the timeline was extended. This was done as we wished to give everyone the opportunity to respond. The majority did respond.
  • Format the responses as an e-mail to be shared with the membership of the “Friends of the Eau Claire Lakes Area”
  • Send back to each candidate the e-mail format for their edit with a timeline for this to be completed .
  • Distribute this information to all.
All candidates were asked the same questions that follow:

BACKGROUND STATEMENT (please share any personal information you would like voters to know):
Ql. Why are you seeking this office?

Q2. What experience (professional/personal/volunteer) will help you in office?

Q3. What issues are facing Barnes/Gordon today and  what actions would you propose to deal with those issues?

Q4. What is your vision for Barnes/Gordon 2 years from now and in 10 years from now?

Q5. How can voters reach you before the election if they have questions for you?

With each “Voters Guide” you will receive the contact information of each candidate if you wish to communicate directly with them.

We are a 501c3 corporation. We do not endorse or recommend candidates. We offer the “Voters Guide” as a service to our membership and to the candidates.  An informed electorate is important in our system of governance.

We appreciate the willingness  of these individuals to stand up and seek this responsibility.
